The Savigny-lès-Beaune by Philippe Bouchard is a fine and elegant Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune. After maceration on the skins, it ages for over a year in barrel with a small portion in new wood, which gives roundness and sweet hints. On the nose, it is fragrant, with a side of red fruit, a floral touch, and a spicy hint. On the palate, it has medium structure, with silky tannins and vibrant freshness, closed by a savory finish, ideal with roast duck or herb rabbit.
