The Merlot 'Massàl' by Denis Montanar is born in Friuli Venezia Giulia from a small vineyard of just two hectares, cultivated with bilateral guyot on a loamy, sandy, and clayey soil. The winery vinifies it with spontaneous fermentation in fiberglass tanks, after a 6-day maceration on the skins, and ages it for 12 months in cement tanks. On the nose, it offers aromas of berries and slightly spicy notes, while on the palate it is tense, with well-balanced tannins and a pleasant mineral and savory vein. Perfect with braised beef served with roasted potatoes
